Snowy Tunnel Springs Engagements – Salt Lake City, Utah.
Allen and Jessie are such champs! When we were trying to decide where to do their engagements, all Jessie requested was no snow! Hahaha! I drove around and gave them a few different options of spots that I would recommend, and they opted for Tunnel Springs Park. When we arrived, it was starting to snow. By the time we started, a blizzard came out of nowhere! It was snowing so hard! And the snow came fast, too. It was also freezing!!
Their outfits were actually awesome for their snowy tunnel springs engagements, too! Believe it or not, outfits play a big part in how your photos will turn out. When shooting in snow, I love when the outfits are darker and more contrasted. Jessie’s dark top was so fun because it also really showed the snow! Allen’s dark shirt also worked wonderfully to bring out the snow! Then Jessie’s red top was such a fun pop of color there, too!
Tunnel Springs is also a pretty popular location to shoot at. There were a few other people there at the same time taking family photos, but I was pretty surprised at how much of the place we got to ourselves. I am pretty sure that the snow deterred people away from shooting at Tunnel Springs that night, but I will take it! By the end, there was so much snow on the ground. You can even see some engagements that I took at Tunnel Springs earlier this year when everything was still green! Tunnel Springs is accessible all year long, which is also a reason why I think that it’s a very popular spot. You get quite a bit of variety, including a nice view over the city, and it’s super easy to get to.
