Snowy Pine Tree Bridals – Big Cottonwood Canyon – Salt Lake City, Utah
Sam and Becky are so so cute. Sam was so excited to see Becky in her dress!! I actually love watching my couple’s see each other for the first time in their wedding clothes. It really hits them in that moment that they are about to get married, and it’s such a special moment to be a part of. Oftentimes, I get emotional!! I LOVE IT!!!
Originally, Sam and Becky wanted to go to red rocks for their formals. As the date got closer for their formals, they decided to move the spot to Big Cottonwood Canyon. I will NEVER turn down an opportunity to shoot in Big Cottonwood! It’s so pretty all year long. Even last year when it was super snowy (like the most snow I have ever seen up there), it was still accessible! Which is huge for the mountains in the winter! It’s also kind of hard to find places in the winter that look pretty, but you cannot go wrong with Big Cottonwood. I mean, does it get any prettier than snowy pine tree bridals?
Becky’s older brother came with us to do her video, and that was also so cool to have him there, too! She’s the baby in her family! Becky’s childhood friend also tagged along because she did Becky’s flowers!! Her company is English Garden Florals! and she is in the Provo area!
During their formals, Becky and I made the connection that we used to live by each other and went to the same church! She remembers me giving a lesson years ago and then has followed me since then! So when they got engaged, she reached out to me, and I am so glad they did!! I freaking love them! It was FREEZING in the mountains, and they were champs!!! As soon as we were done, they both cheered!!! It was the best!
