Portland Oregon Waterfall Wedding.
Jake and Cortney go down in history for one of the most adventurous and laid back couples I have ever worked with. We literally photographed them from sun up to sun down, and since Cortney grew up in Oregon, she knew all of the best places to have their photos taken at.
We started at sunrise on the Historic Columbia River Loop and photographed at three different waterfalls. HOLY HEAVENS, I love waterfalls, I love green, and I love dark rocks so doing a Waterfall Wedding in Portland, Oregon is basically my dream. The combination of all of those together are so incredibly beautiful!! The greens are so beyond green! The contrast of the dark rocks with the white dress and Jake’s suit was also perfect! You would not believe how much water you get on you getting this close to the waterfalls, though! The water just sort of explodes everywhere, but it is so worth it. Cortney came prepared with her Chacos!!
Once we were done at the waterfalls, we took a little lunch break and then headed to the Portland LDS Temple for a little bit to get the photos of them, too. That temple is so unique, but I really loved the marble on it!
Lastly, we went to a cute little beach that Cortney knew about, and we were the only ones there. It also had a waterfall and a haystack rock, too! It really was such a gem, and I am so glad that Cortney showed it to me!!
Cortney’s dress got really dirty as she wore it in the waterfalls and in the rocks, BUT someone had told me that you can wash your wedding dress by hand in the tub with laundry soap. We tried it out, and it actually cleaned her vintage lace wedding dress perfectly! She got her dress from Saldana Vintage, and I am always a fan of their dresses.
Plus, it was on this trip that I decided I wanted to come home and marry Kellon, so it’s kind of a big deal to me.
