MOUNTAIN ANNIVERSARY COUPLES SESSION – BIG COTTONWOOD CANYON

I’ve said it before, and I will say it forever. I love Big Cottonwood Canyon. It has such great variety in views, and it really is wonderful all year long. I honestly remember the first time I ever went up Big Cottonwood Canyon. I was blown away at how beautiful it was! The pine trees were such a beautiful color! It wasn’t until I became a photographer that I noticed that pine trees actually have different colors. The range from almost a gray to a yellow to a green to a teal to a blue. I LOVE the colors of the pine trees in Big Cottonwood. Specifically, I love the Jordan Pines area. It’s such a big space that you can always find your own little space to shoot. I am not exaggerating when I say that I have been up there when over 50 different photoshoots were happening, and I still found my own little spot to shoot. Also because it is such a big area, you can also shoot at Jordan Pines over and over again and have something different each time.

David and Bailee are high school sweethearts, and this mountain couples session was for their anniversary. I loved getting to chat with them while we shot. They actually met when they were younger, and she remembers having a crush on David when she was 12. In high school, they started dating, then they got married, and here we are a year later. Bailee is also a photographer, and it’s always such an honor when a fellow photographer asks me to take their photos. These two just giggled the whole time, and it was so much fun. I LOVE shooting couples sessions! They really are so fun! It’s pretty much just like engagements.
