UTAH LAKE WINTER ENGAGEMENTS.

We had Tanner and Lauren’s engagements planned to be at Tibble Fork, but they ended up running a bit late, which put us a little too late to be shooting in the mountains. I proposed that we moved locations to Utah Lake, and they were totally okay with that! If you have spent much time around my blog or Instagram, then you know that I LOVE shooting at Utah Lake during the winter. It’s a pretty neutral location, and those mountain views are also so pretty. It had just snowed when we did their engagements, so look how pretty the mountains are in the back with all of the snow on them! Utah Lake was the right move for their winter engagements. It was bitter cold, but it was most definitely warmer than the canyons were going to be–that is for sure.

Lauren and I met when I was a sophomore in college. We bonded over how hard dating was, and then we spent nearly everyday of the rest of college together. She was one of the best things to have come from me going to college. Right as she graduated, she moved to Arkansas, and then she moved back a few years ago. She met Tanner last fall, and I was so excited to hear that she was getting married!!! They weren’t officially engaged yet, but they would be soon.

I always tell my couples who have their engagements taken in the winter that layers are BEST! It is most likely going to be cold no matter what, but anything that you can do to help you stay warmer will make it a little easier for you! I also suggest having darker colors, and definitely avoid whites and creams because if there is snow, you will blend in. I loved the colors that they both chose to wear!
