Tunnel Springs Engagements – North Salt Lake

Holy cow, I was so honored to have Ashlyn book me for their wedding. Ashlyn is also a wedding photographer, and she is dang good. Ashlyn actually came to my one and only “workshop” that I held a few years ago!

Ashlyn wasn’t quite sure where to take their engagements because they wanted mountains, but didn’t want snow. Also, it’s gotta be a cool spot!!! Ashlyn ended up choosing Tunnel Springs Park. Tunnel Springs is actually pretty good to shoot at all year long, even though I have heard there are rattlesnakes up there. I DO NOT DO WELL WITH SNAKES, so it’s a good thing I have never run into them!

When we got to Tunnel Springs for their engagements, it was HOPPING. I have never seen so many people at the park, and I have shot there a lot. The parking lot was completely full. You would never know that people are supposed to be social distancing right now haha! Thankfully the park is big enough that there is plenty of space for people to stay at least 6 feet apart. You cannot tell, but there were quite a few people in the background of their photos that I had to edit out.

Ashlyn and Nate were SO FUN to shoot!! We spent most of the night running around in the sunshine. When we were shooting in the tall grass, Ashlyn noticed that her foot somehow got cut on some grass and was bleeding a lot! It didn’t even phase her, and then it happened AGAIN! She was such a champ for handling it so well!! I cannot even wait for their formals and their wedding day! Here’s to hoping and praying the everything is opened back up by then!!!
