SPRING LILAC BRIDALS || UTAH COUNTY || CHLOE

Spring Lilac Bridals

I have a closet of different and unique wedding gowns in my apartment. It’s fun to have dresses on hand so that I can take them out whenever I need to put together a little shoot. Baylie and I have been talking about shooting at this specific lilac bush for over a year now. Because lilacs are only in their prime for about a week, we knew that we were going to have to throw it together pretty quickly. When the time came for the bush to be perfect, it dawned on me that I have this lilac lace wedding gown that would be beyond perfect for the spring lilac bridals we had been dreaming of. Then we topped it off with a wool felt hat from my shop, and it all came together. Chloe was the perfect model for this shoot, too! She was so easy and wonderful to work with.

You probably could never tell from the photos, but this bush is in the middle of a public park. The entire time we were shooting, all the little boys in the neighborhood were playing football. To most people, they probably wouldn’t even think twice about this lilac bush being the perfect setting for beautiful photos. It’s actually super crazy to see a lot of the places that I use to shoot are super random places, but they photograph so beautifully.

I really do wish that Spring would stick around a lot longer than it actually does. The flowers and blossoms really are so beautiful, and for the most part, they also smell pretty good! And that’s a lot coming from me because I don’t ever really like the smell of flowers. So if anyone can figure out how to make Spring last longer, just let me know.
