DETAILS OF
SNOWY TIBBLE FORK ENGAGEMENTS.
Hunter and Abigail came to be as a referral from my former bride, Lindsey. Abigail and Lindsey knew each other from college, and since I love Lindsey, it was a given that I was going to totally love Hunter and Abigail. They really wanted a location with pine trees, and since Big Cottonwood Canyon had so much snow a few weeks ago, Abigail mentioned that she wanted to do Tibble Fork. During the winter, Tibble Fork is actually super great to photograph. It’s easy to get to, and there’s usually enough traffic up there that trails are easy to find and the snow is usually packed down. When it isn’t Winter, Tibble Fork is a reservoir that is the prettiest teal color. The pine trees and the color of the water complement each other so well. A few years ago, they remodeled Tibble Fork and made it far more of a recreational area, so people now use the reservoir a lot more than it used to be. If I am being honest, too, they removed some of the best features of that area when they remodeled it, and it makes me so sad!! But during the Winter, the reservoir freezes over and the ice is thick enough that everyone walks across it safely, and it hides the parts that I don’t like anymore! So snowy engagements up at Tibble Fork are actually the perfect time to do them.
All of the photos of Hunter and Abigail in the pink and white outfit are on the frozen lake! Isn’t that so cool? It was pretty cold, and a little windy, but we got just the shots they needed for their announcements! We had a pretty limited amount of time that we could shoot before it got too dark, and it ended up being plenty of time!
