DETAILS OF
SLOT CANYON FIRST LOOK – NORTHERN UTAH
Taylor and Liset are so awesome. They actually reached out to me right when COVID got crazy, and we put together their elopement at the Salt Flats in just a few days. Liset and Taylor had no idea what COVID was going to do to their wedding, so they decided it would be best to elope and then whenever they had their reception, they would celebrate with their family. Liset also opted to not get married in her wedding dress so that she could save that for her reception. Because of that, we did a first look in their actual wedding clothes before their reception.
Liset and Taylor wanted a location that was super unique. I did a lot of research on trying to find a super different location for them, which honestly is kind of hard because of how many places I have shot before. I actually found a spot and we had agreed on it. THEN, I found this slot canyon. It was so unique. Even for a slot canyon, it’s unique. It was also the middle of the summer, and it was super cool inside. It wasn’t even hot! I took photos, sent them to Liset, and we both agreed that this slot canyon was the perfect spot for their first look.
Liset’s dress is SO PRETTY, isn’t it? It was designed by Val Stefani, and it has so many pretty details on it. I actually think that this slot canyon was perfect for their outfits, and we didn’t even plan that out! I also had no idea that there was a slot canyon in Northern Utah, but you can find me hiking in this one forever–especially in the summer when it’s way hot outside. There’s even a little waterfall at the end.
