Desert Cactus Bridals – Phoenix, Arizona
One of my friend’s wife opened a bridal dress store in Phoenix a little bit ago. It’s named Neue Bridal, and they had some of the coolest and most unique wedding dresses out there. Right before it opened, I was in the Phoenix area to photograph a wedding, so I used one of my extra nights there to also photograph a few of their dresses for them. My couple had shown me this location the night before, and I loved how easily we could get to the cacti. (Am I the only one who just wants to say cactuses? Because that sounds right to me!)
I love shooting in the desert, even if it is super hot. This was at the very end of August, so it was wayyyyy hot – definitely over 100 degrees. The cacti were pretty, but I think I pulled quite a few out of my feet! It was probably not the smartest idea to wear sandals.
I feel like the boho vibe matches the desert perfectly. I loved the boho look of both dresses, so they were perfect for the desert cactus bridals. I also love when brides wear wool felt hats. Add some boots?!? Literally the coolest setup ever. I just needed a leather jacket!
My husband lived in Arizona for a few years, so we have always talked about possibly moving to Arizona, BUT, after visiting it as many times as I have at all different times of the year, we have realized we love visiting there, but we cannot live there. Props to everyone who can put up with the heat! But I love my spring and fall so much that I have to live somewhere with both seasons!
