Salt Flats Engagements
I’ve said it before, and I will say it again. The Salt Flats are another planet. They are UNREAL, and they never get old.
Mitch and Monica flew all the way from Texas to have their engagements at the Salt Flats. Monica and I talked a little bit about what dress she should wear, AND SHE KILLED IT. Isn’t that dress the most perfect dress for the Salt Flats? The flow of the dress was so fun, and the color matched the sunset so perfectly!
We did their engagements at the end of August, and it was so hot. The Salt Flats get incredibly hot during the summer, and they just reflect the sun, too! I would much rather have the Salt Flats be hot than cold, though! I was at the Flats just a few weeks after this for Blake and Aubin’s wedding, and it was already so cold.
Can we talk about the sky, though?!? We had quite a bit of clouds, sunlight, and then a sky that lit up like cotton candy as soon as the sun went down. One of my favorite parts about the Salt Flats is easily the sunsets there. The sky lights up all the way around you with the prettiest colors. I have never not seen a beautiful sky when I am out there.
The actual Salt Flats also can look so different, depending on when you go out there. Sometimes they are covered in water, and other times they look like they have giant cracks in them! You can kind of see the cracks a little bit in these photos, but sometimes, they are even more defined than this! It’s seriously so cool, and it always is just part of the adventure. You never really know what you are going to get!
