DETAILS OF
NEUTRAL FUN ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Kelsey and I grew up across the street from each other. She was the very first model I ever had, and it seemed to come completely full circle as I did her wedding photos, too. In fact, you can even read this post on my website and see some of the photos that I took of her on some of my very first photoshoots. When she and Conner got engaged and talked to me about doing their engagements, they told me that they trusted me 100% in choosing their locations and giving input on their outfits, too. It was an actual dream to be trusted so much by my clients!!
This was a location that had been on my bucket list for quite some time, and it was actually perfect for this time of year. It was March, so it was chilly, but there wasn’t any snow on the ground unless we wanted to go into the mountains. This spot looks so good all year long, but it’s a phenomenal option for winter! Also it’s still very unknown, so I don’t ever have to worry about sharing it with other photographers when I go out there. I also really love that it’s such a neutral location that it matches so many different looks.
We hit three different spots out there, and they changed each time into a new outfit, too. We got so many different looks for their neutral and fun engagement session. We did a casual look, a dressier look, and then also had one in-between look, too. I think my favorite was their last look with the bright blue dress!!! The way that it pops against the neutral rock is my favorite. It’s actually my dress that I rent out, and it’s originally from ASOS. I love looking at ASOS at all of their different dress options, and they are also very affordable!!
