Lilac Couple Session – Orem, Utah
Jacob and Elysa are so awesome. I met Elysa years ago when she was a bridesmaid in a wedding that I shot. Then, I photographed Jacob + Elysa’s wedding. We have stayed friends over the years, and we have even gone on a trip together! Jacob and Elysa recently moved back to Utah (yay!), and I am so happy about it. We did a shoot in the snow right after they moved back, and then I needed some models for a shoot the other night! After we were finished with what I needed modeled, we did a quick 5-minute couple session in the lilac bush. Can I live somewhere that flowers are in bloom all year long?? That would be so amazing.
This lilac bush is in the parking lot next to my apartment, and I am pretty obsessed with it. I have already photographed it a few times. I just need to get it while it is blooming perfectly! The purple color is so pretty, too. The sun was going down during their session, so we were fighting the light, but the pictures turned out so well!! Elysa had just gotten this hat, and she was so excited to wear it for the shoot. I think it fits her perfectly.
Jacob and Elysa are so easy to get along with and to shoot! They just really love each other, and they love to laugh together. That makes my job super dang easy.
I don’t know about you guys, but Kellon and I also love playing games! Right after this little shoot, we headed over to Jacob and Elysa’s townhome to play some games, which was also super fun. We are way over this quarantine thing! Thank heavens for fun people and fun games to keep us sane.
