DETAILS OF
Jensen is Kellon’s sister, which obviously makes her my sister-in-law. It has been so much fun watching her and Haizer meet, date, and then get married. It’s always fun watching our family grow. Even though Kellon and I grew up an hour away from each other, we met here in Utah. Haizer is from my hometown, and another of Kellon’s sisters ended up also marrying someone from my small little hometown. It’s such a small world, but we all keep laughing about the funny coincidence that three of the four kids in Kellon’s family married people from Blackfoot.
Haizer is a professional roper. For a job, he trains steers for rodeos, and the he also ropes. We got to go to Vegas back in December to watch him rope in the World Series of Team Roping, and I loved it. Now, we will honestly probably go every single year! Anyways, horses are a big part of their world, so they really wanted their horses in their formals. This one is named Big Money.
Jensen’s one request for her formals was that she wanted pine trees, but she didn’t want any snow in them. Anyone from Southeastern Idaho knows that most pine trees are in the mountains, but the mountains still have snow for a while. I also didn’t have time to get to Idaho before their formals, so we went for a drive a few hours before the shoot and found this random grove of pine trees off the side of the road. It really was in the middle of a field, but it was perfect. I am so glad that we found it because it was pine trees with no snow. I’ll take all the pine trees, please.
I also got to go dress shopping with Jensen, and she had found and fell in love with one dress, but when she put this one on, it was so her. It was perfect. She added the sleeves to it, and she also got it from Boda Bridal. They were so awesome to work with! My mother-in-law is a florist, and she did Jensen’s bouquet. Isn’t it stunning? I hope the trend of natural bouquets with all kinds of greens and then neutrals never goes away. It’s so so pretty.
