DETAILS OF
Dead Horse Point Engagements – Dead Horse Point State Park – Moab, Utah
I had such a fun time with Bridger and Katie’s engagements at Dead Horse Point. They actually met in Utah and now they have both moved out of state for work and for school, so their entire engagement has been long distance. I don’t think I could ever do that, so I think these two are champs and so dedicated! Even though neither of them live in Utah, they wanted to do their engagements at Dead Horse in Utah.
We took these at the beginning of January, and I fully anticipated that there would be snow and it would be freezing. It turns out that there was a little snow, but thankfully, it was not as cold as I anticipated! It did get super cold at the end, but that was it!
There also weren’t very many people there, either. That’s such a blessing whenever I show up and don’t have to fight for a spot to use! I usually shoot in the parts of dead horse that people don’t wander over to, so that also makes shooting up there usually pretty simple–just as long as you aren’t afraid of heights!! You really are standing on the edge of a cliff the whole time!
I actually did Bridger’s sister’s wedding a few years ago, too! I sure love their family! You can even check out their engagements on my blog here. Turns out, my parents were even really good friends with Bridger and Camille’s parents, too, when they lived in my hometown. I don’t ever remember that because they moved when Bridger and I were really little, but I do remember always getting their family’s Christmas cards each year.
