Dead Horse Point Bridals – Moab, Utah.
From the very beginning, Joyce told me that she and Justin wanted red rocks for their bridal and first look photos. We weren’t exactly sure which red rocks we were going to do, but they ended up choosing to do them at Dead Horse Point. Dead Horse Point is seriously one of my favorite places to shoot OF ALL TIME. I never get sick of it, and I have shot there quite a bit! Somehow, each time that I have gone, it has been overcast. That is a literal miracle because the colors are so much prettier and richer when it is overcast! We shot their formals at the beginning of July, and you would totally expect it to have been just shy of a thousand degrees, BUT we were so pleasantly surprised to have it be pretty cool! It was the absolute perfect temperature, even if it was fairly windy. We made sure to secure Joyce’s veil so that it didn’t blow off any cliffs.
Joyce had told Justin that her dress was actually hot pink, so we were messing with him before he saw it. I always ask my grooms what they think the dress looks like, just to see how close they can get to it. I don’t super remember Justin’s guesses, but he wasn’t really surprised that the dress was not actually hot pink. We had pretty much the entire park to ourselves, and I am sure that the wind helped with that! Lately, each time that I have gone to the lookout, I have pretty much had the entire place to myself. I love just how intimate it makes all of it for us! These two made my job so easy, and their dead horse point bridals could not have been prettier.
