COUNTRY HAY BALE FORMALS – BLACKFOOT, IDAHO – CHASE + MORGAN

Chase and Morgan got married earlier this summer, and their wedding day schedule got a little crazy! The day definitely got away from us. When it came time for us to slip away for their formals, the DJ announced they were cutting their cake. Their cake had blue frosting, and it ended up getting all over both of them. Because of this, they opted to do formal session after. That way, we could do it during a time that we would have more time, and Morgan would have time to get the blue frosting out of her dress.

Even though they got married in Utah, they live in Pocatello. I am from Blackfoot, so I know the Blackfoot area a lot better than I do the Pocatello area. It was kind of that awkward time of the year when there were not very many options for photo locations. Morgan really wanted to shoot on a train bridge that is here in Blackfoot, but we could not shoot on it because it’s pretty dangerous and illegal. I searched and searched to find something. We had the idea to do a grain field, but unfortunately, all the grain had been cut already. Instead, we opted for the hay bales. My brother-in-law and his family are farmers, so they were nice enough to let me use their hay bales.

I never really wondered if it would look good because I knew in my head what I was going for, BUT their country hay bale formals turned out even better than I expected. I THINK THEY ARE SO COOL! I loved the neutral color of the hay, and I also really loved the texture that it gave each photo. The weather was also so so pretty!
