CLASSY STUDIO ENGAGEMENTS – MIESH STUDIO – SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH.
Chase + Georgianna are high school sweethearts, and I met Georgianna last September when she was a bridesmaid in a wedding that I was shooting. Georgianna and I have been chatting about her wedding coming up in June in Hawaii, and she really wanted her engagement photos to match both the announcement and their wedding destination. With Utah still not having much life, and honestly, with our options being so limited right now, we decided that a studio would probably fit what she wanted the best. Their classy studio engagements turned out perfectly.
With school being canceled right now, Chase + Georgianna were both home in Idaho and drove all the way to Salt Lake for their engagement session (honestly the true heroes here). The studio we shot at is Miesh Studio, which is located in Sugarhouse. I have shot there once before, and I really really love it. I love the look of the studio, the windows, the lighting, the props, and the wall colors/textures. Miesh has done such a wonderful job in there! I also took my spice colored seamless paper along with us to use. We did half the shoot all around the studio and the other half on the paper.
Studio shoots are always such a good choice because it doesn’t matter what the weather is like outside! You have way more control over your environment, and you have way more control over what the background looks like. Seamless papers are SO FUN to work with, too! You can have any pop of color you want – or even just a neutral! Have a casual outfit, a dressy outfit, or even one of each!
