BIG COTTONWOOD FIRST LOOK, SALT LAKE CITY.
Oh man, Tyler and Ellee are so cute. They met each other in college, and I have known Tyler since he was in high school. In fact, I even did his senior photos, which only felt like a year ago!! So when he told me he was getting married, I didn’t believe him. There was no way! But sure enough, they really were getting married! Ellee is so dang cute! They are perfect for each other. Ellee’s dress is SO PRETTY! I see a lot of wedding dresses, but I really loved how the lace on her wedding dress was lighter than the color of her dress. This way, it was easier to see the lace details! and because the sleeves were not lined, she could wear this dress in the middle of the summer and not die of the heat.
Their Big Cottonwood first look was so cute. Tyler’s reaction to seeing Ellee in her dress for the first time was so cute. He was so surprised, and he loved it! His reaction was so genuine, and I loved it. That’s my entire goal with every single first look that I do–get the genuine reaction. I CANNOT even handle when I am working with a videographer who coaches the groom on how to react to the dress because “it makes for a better video”. At the end of the day, the first look is about the couple NOT about the photos or the video. I just want to create an environment where the groom feels comfortable to just see the dress, take it all in, and have a moment seeing his bride for the first time in her dress.
