Zion National Park is honestly such a cool park. I have spent quite a bit of time there over the last few years, but every single time I go, I enjoy it so much. I have spent quite a bit of time exploring and finding cool locations for my couples to use for their weddings or elopements. Seth and Rachel booked me for their engagements, formals, wedding day in New York, and their sealing. We ended up doing their formals very last because that is when it worked best for our schedules. Zion National Park has special meaning to them and plays a big part in their relationship. My favorite spot to photograph is actually the Overlook, so that was the plan. In my opinion, that has the best view and the easiest hike.

As we were driving down to Zion, Rachel texted me and told me that there was a good chance that the overlook trail was closed that day. I honestly had never even thought to look at that, so I was shocked. We needed to hurry and make a decision because we couldn’t change the date. We now needed to decide on which location to shoot at. I brought up that I had found a slot canyon in Zion that we could use, and they both agreed that the slot canyon in Zion was perfect for their formals.

The weather was PERFECT, and Zion seemed completely empty that night. It was truly perfect. How pretty is this slot canyon? I actually found this sometime last year, and I have now photographed this slot canyon quite a few times. I can’t wait to see what else I can find in Zion!
