ZION NATIONAL PARK FIRST LOOK

Karl and Ellie are just about the two happiest people you will ever meet. They are always smiling and laughing together, and truly just a perfect match for each other. They met on a dating app and by the end of their first date, they knew they wanted a second date. The rest is history for them! It turns out that they grew up not very far from each other, but because Karl is a few year older, they never actually knew each other until they met on the app.

When it came time for their formals, they were debating between a few different places. This ended up being the spot that they chose, and it was perfect. They both grew up not too far from Zion National Park, so it only made sense that their first look also took place in Zion National Park. We also actually took their engagements in Zion, but it was a completely different spot than this one. Despite how many times I have photographed inside Zion National Park, I had actually never shot in this location there before, but I am such a fan! We pulled in just as the sun went behind the mountains, and the lighting was so pretty the rest of the night. There was no wind and not a single other person in sight, either.

Their actual first look was so tender, and you can just see how much they love each other by how they look at each other and talk with each other. There were so many times during this shoot that Karl would catch a glimpse of Ellie in her dress, and his eyes would fill with tears. I just adore them both, and I am so happy that they found each other!! and feel so incredibly lucky to have been their photographer.

They used Mais Films as their videographer, and I also cannot recommend her enough!! I love her work, and I absolutely loved working alongside her.
