ZION FIRST LOOK SESSION – ZION NATIONAL PARK – CANYON OVERLOOK TRAIL
Wow, Matt and Deanna are a HOOT to work with. I had so much fun, and I was constantly laughing every single time I was around them. Matt is freaking hilarious. These two opted for a destination wedding just outside of Zion National Park, and when they came to Zion to check out their venue, I met them there to also do their engagements. We spent some time in Snow Canyon doing their engagements, and by the time we were done with those, I was beyond pumped for their wedding day because of how much fun we had.
We weighed the pros and cons of doing a first look session in Zion National Park prior to their wedding day, and they ultimately decided that we should do it. We didn’t think there would be time (nor did it make very much sense) to leave their wedding for a few hours to go hike the overlook trail, get the photos they wanted, and come back to party with their guests. So, we met up two days before their wedding to do their first look. You know something extra cool about this? Deanna actually had two wedding dresses, so we got to do a first look here AND they got to do the traditional first look walking down the aisle on their wedding day, too. It was the first time any of my couples had done that, and it was such a fun idea.
Can we talk about her bouquet, too?? Because look how beautiful it is!! By Bloomers, who is located in St. George, did them! The colors look so pretty with all of the red rock!!
This was not my first time shooting at the overlook trail, and it for sure won’t be my last. I absolutely love this spot. You can actually see the first shoot I ever did up there here.
