WINDSWEPT MOUNTAIN FIRST LOOK IN PROVO CANYON

Michael and Baillie’s windswept mountain first look in Provo Canyon is easily one of my favorite shoots I have ever done. We actually started at the temple where they were getting married, but as soon as Michael turned around, this storm came out of nowhere and the wind was CRAZY! The wind picked up all of the leaves and blossoms around us, and they started pelting us. We all looked at each other and made the decision to run to cover. We waited for a few minutes to see if the storm would die down, and it did not, so we ultimately decided to head to the canyon and try to beat the storm over there.

When we got to the canyon, we made it about 10 minutes before the storm rolled in, so we then decided to just roll with it! We would take some photos, then they would hurry and get under and umbrella and wait for it to calm a little bit. Once the rain calmed down a little bit, then we would hurry and grab some shots. We truly were chasing the storm, and it was SO COOL! The combination of the moody sky with the bright colored grass and flowers from the fresh rain was so incredible. If you can catch Provo Canyon while the grass is still green, it’s amazing.

Baillie’s wedding dress and veil were also both so amazing!! The way that the chiffon moved in the wind was unreal. I actually fell in love with how Baillie’s veil looked and photographed, so when I got married, I made sure to have mine also look like it! That is how much I absolutely loved it!! I loved her flowers and hair and makeup as well. Truly, such a fan of this whole vibe.
