Wildflower Mountain Engagements – Provo Canyon

Probably my most common request for photo locations is somewhere with wildflowers. What most people don’t know about wildflowers is that there is usually a small window where they are in their prime, and it’s more in July and maybe August that it happens. We hit these wildflowers right at the beginning of their bloom, and it was seriously perfect. The temperature dropped and the clouds rolled in right before Spencer and Maddy’s wildflower mountain engagements. No one else was up there, so we had the whole place to ourselves.

This overlook is one of my all-time favorite places to shoot. I found this spot a few years ago while I was scouting around, and each time I go back to it, it is super nostalgic. I have done SO MANY shoots up there, and literally not a single shoot looks the same. This spot is so versatile and HUGE, so you can always go and pick a new spot to shoot. It makes it more fun to shoot up there because it’s always something new. This spot is not accessible for about half of the year, so when it is accessible, I take advantage of it. This is even one of my favorite spots to shoot in the Fall, too!

Spencer and Maddy were an absolute blast to work with! They laughed the entire time, and we all just joked around the whole time. They had me constantly laughing! I wasn’t expecting us to have this entire spot to ourselves, but it was so cool that we did! We get to do their formals this week, and I am PUMPED about it! We are heading down to Zion National Park to get those, and I think it’s pretty safe to say that we are going to have so much fun.
