DETAILS OF
I feel like something that every couple struggles with is their wedding registry! You will wonder what you should put on it, if the things you put on it are stupid, or if you are missing anything. It’s always hard to come up with a list of all the things you should be needing as you merge two lives together, and this is why I want to help! and this is why I build this wedding registry guide. Registries are awesome for you and for your guests. It gives you guys control over the majority of the gifts you will be given, which is great because it minimizes that chances of getting duplicate items, and increases the chances of getting items that you actually need AND getting the items that match your taste, too. For your guests, it helps them know what to get you!
I had so much fun putting together our wedding registry, and now that we have been married about two and a half years, I see how much our registry helped us! I so wish that we had a wedding registry guide to help us build ours. It took a while to build, but I felt like we had pretty much everything on our registry that we needed.
In this wedding registry guide, you will find the list I have created with everything I think you need (and more) to start your home together. You can scroll through and decide on which items you want to add to yours, and I am sure there will be items that you already own or that you don’t want to add to your list! I will include links to a lot of them, but I will also make a list of items that you should put on your registry, but you can find the one that best fits your taste, like home decor and bedding!
The rule that you should go by when creating your registry is if you want it, put it on there! No matter how dumb it may feel or how expensive the item is, put it on there! There were quite a few things we put on our registry that we didn’t think we would get, and we did. If you know where you are going to be living, go walk through it and go room by room and ask yourself, “If we lived here, what would we need? What do I already have?” If you already live in the place you are going to live when you are married, ask yourself what you are missing or if there is anything you would like to replace or upgrade. That is a really great place to start your list! Then once you have done that, ask yourself, “What do we like to do together?” If you like movies, add movies to the list! If you like games, add games to your list! If you like camping, add camping items to your list! Think about what you need in every aspect of your life, and then add it! You can always add things to your list as time passes, and people will still buy you things after you are married.
We registered on amazon.com, and we LOVED it. It was so easy to get our gifts, and super easy to return the duplicates.
I sure hope this wedding registry guide helps, and if you can think of anything else I ought to add to the list, let me know! I will add it!

Home decor is hard because everyone has such a different style, and you may not know what you want to put in your home until you are settled in. However, you should try and choose decorations for your reception that you will want to also use in your home. For instance, hang up the photos that you use at your reception in your home!
