VINTAGE ONE YEAR OLD PORTRAITS.

Aftyn is mine and Kellon’s only niece on his side of the family. She is so darn cute! Kellon and I also don’t live super close, and we are the only ones who don’t live within an hour of his family. We don’t get to see Aftyn super often, but it’s always fun when we do get to see her. She just smiles and is happy pretty much 100% of the time! She was born right around the time we had another niece on my side of the family, too!

For Aftyn’s one year old portraits, her mom wanted a vintage look to it. We weren’t super sure where to find a piece of lace that would be big enough to hang up behind Aftyn. After looking on Amazon, we found the best thing to get was a lace tablecloth. We went to a park in St. Anthony, Idaho and set it all up right by a tree. I have a photography backdrop stand that we also set up, then just clipped the tablecloth to it! We also had a blanket set up under the lace on the ground so that the grass didn’t bug Aftyn too bad.

Usually, it’s super easy to get Aftyn to smile, but as soon as we started taking photos, she wouldn’t smile NO MATTER WHAT WE DID! She just looked at all of us like we were crazy hahahaha! But then we had her brothers come over to make her laugh. They both made farting noises with their mouths and instantly Aftyn was laughing so hard. It was perfect to get her smiling! She sure loved the sticks that we had set up by her, too, and she just wanted to hold them. Her little outfits were sure cute, too!
