STANLEY IDAHO SUMMER WEDDING.

I grew up in Idaho, and I am honestly shocked that this was my first time ever going to Stanley, Idaho. I was absolutely blown away when I drove in and saw just how gorgeous it was. I had heard about Stanley before, but nothing could have prepared me for this. I had two Idaho weddings over the course of about a month, and between these two weddings, I have decided that Idaho is so underrated. Check out this session that I did just a few weeks after CJ + Kait’s wedding day. Isn’t Idaho just so pretty?

Kait and I had talked about their wedding for about 2 years. We started the planning from absolute square one, and at first, they actually thought they were going to elope in Yosemite. After thinking about it and researching it, they decided on Stanley, Idaho for their summer wedding. They had a spot all picked out next to a lake, and we ran with it! They wanted a very laid-back, simple wedding day, and that’s just what we pulled off.

Kait texted me the night before their wedding and said that they spot that they chose for their ceremony had been washed out with all of the extra snow and water this year. They pivoted and found two new spots for their first look and ceremony. Right as we were heading out the door for their first look, a storm came out of nowhere. It started pouring rain, and it was so windy! We decided to still head to the spot and wait it out before doing the first look. We did have a break just long enough for their first look and vows, which was perfect.

From there, we headed to the ceremony spot that they chose. The sun came out, and it was so pretty!! Kait’s sister performed the ceremony, and then from there, we headed back to where they were staying for everyone to eat pizza. Once they had a chance to eat, we went out to a spot that I had noticed on the side of the road, and they trusted me with the spot. It had wildflowers and a beautiful view of the mountains behind them. We finished out their Stanley Idaho summer wedding there, and WOW what a perfect day. Let’s do it again, ok?
