Spring Canyon Engagements – Provo Canyon
I actually met Tyler probably 4 years ago when his parents were some of my leaders in college. I did his mission/graduation photos about two years ago! Then next thing I knew, Tyler was texting me to see if I could photograph his wedding!! I was like, WAIT WHAT. HOW OLD ARE YOU NOW!?! But in all seriousness, time really did fly by, and I can’t believe they are getting married! I actually photographed their proposal, and that’s when I met Ellee! So for their engagements, we really got to spend more time together, and she is so awesome!
I drove around quite a bit to find a spot for their engagements. I knew exactly what I wanted, but I was having a hard time finding it because a lot of the canyon was still pretty dead. I have actually photographed this location before but had never noticed the rocks or the logs there! I could not believe it when I saw it! It was exactly what I wanted AND it had so much variety. I took some photos and videos of it, sent them to Ellee, and we both agreed that this was the spot for their spring canyon engagements!
Shortly after we started shooting, a little old lady started walking towards us. We were on public property, so we were all a little confused as to why she would be coming over to us. She finally made it to us and told us about how we needed to be careful in this grass because she had just seen a rattlesnake a little bit away from there. She told us that the snakes won’t stay on the path, so we should stay on the path and not in the grass. Thankfully, we did not see any snakes during the shoot!
