SNOW CANYON FORMAL SESSION IN THE RED ROCKS.
Ty and Ari drove from San Diego all the way to Northern Utah to get married. They stopped along the way and met me in Snow Canyon for their formal session, just a few days before their wedding. We shot at the petrified sand dunes, and honestly, if you haven’t ever traveled there, I highly recommend it!! Whether it is for pictures or just to hang out, it’s worth checking out. They are basically rolling hills of petrified red sand dunes, and you can spend hours just walking all around them and exploring. It’s one of my favorite things to do in St. George!
Ty and Ari did not want to do a first look for the photos, so we went straight into the shoot! We started in my favorite little cave spot that has the red rocks with the crack in it. We stayed there until the sun dipped behind the mountains and moved out to the hills after that. Ari’s dress was custom made, and the sleeves are so fun!! I also love the black suit against the red rocks. It’s truly my favorite suit color to shoot against the red rocks. It’s so classy and the rocks just make everything pop with the black suit and white dress against it. And the bolo tie?!? Are you serious?? Such a fun personal touch.
Ari also had a long cathedral veil, which I also love. Even if it is windy, I think that if you choose to have a veil, you should do a long veil. It’s more versatile for photos to play around with, and I am such a fan.
Isn’t Ari’s bouquet so beautiful? Tanaya from Bumble and Blossom made it, and it’s no secret that she is one of my favorite florists. Everything she makes is so gorgeous!!
