POINT REYES FIRST LOOK – SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA.

Hyrum and Bett met me on the California coast just two days before their wedding. They opted to do a first look session at Point Reyes National Seashore, which has been high on my bucket list of places I wanted to shoot at for such a long time. When we were talking about potential places to go, I sent them a list, and they basically said that they trusted me to pick one. I LOVE when my clients trust me with their location recommendations. I was so excited to back to San Francisco because it’s my favorite big city I have ever been to.

My sister and I went out to Point Reyes the day before their first look to scout out all the different locations. The tree tunnel was unreal, and it was everything I wanted it to be and MORE. Can you believe that is even a real place?? Then the sand dunes were so pretty, but at the very end of scouting, we went to the lighthouse. At first, it was freezing, and we almost didn’t do the quarter mile hike, BUT we did. When we got to the end, we saw hundreds of whales jumping in the ocean. It was truly one of the most incredible things I have ever seen!! We stayed and watched for almost an hour.

Can we talk about Bett’s wedding dress? The neckline, the sleeves, the 3d flowers on her dress?!? It is GORGEOUS. I’ve never seen anything like it before, and it was so perfect for her, too. At the beginning of the shoot, Hyrum and I made the connection that I actually know his grandparents! They live in my hometown and are very good friends of my parents. His grandma was even my band teacher when I was in 8th grade. Can you even believe that?

Their session was so fun, and by the end, it was pretty chilly and windy, but that view of the whole coast is so worth it.
