LILAC BUSH PORTRAITS – OREM, UTAH.
I LOVE springtime. It seems to come so fast and it’s gone before you know it. The blossoms are so pretty, and each year, I drive around to find all the different kind of blossoms I can find. There are always pretty pink blossoms, white blossoms, yellow blossoms, and LILACS! I actually grew up with a lilac bush in my backyard, but I never really appreciated it. I try and take as much advantage of the blossoms as I possibly can! This year, I did three different shoots in lilacs, and I loved each of them so much.
One thing I noticed this year was just how many lilac bushes there are! I found a new lilac bush on almost every block! This lilac bush happens to be in the parking lot next to where I live, and every day that I saw it, it reminded me that I needed to get some pictures with it. My friend, Baylie, and I get together every so often to take pictures of each other for content. Believe it or not, even though I am a photographer, I don’t have very many photos of me to use! We actually got together last year and did portraits in the blossoms, too!
To everyone else who drove past this lilac bush, it probably just looked like a random bush that was swarming with bees hahaha! BUT, when I saw it, all I could think was, “wow that would be the prettiest backdrop”. It really is crazy how many things around you actually make the coolest photos. Next time Spring rolls around, drive around a bit and look at all the different blossoms! They really are so cool, and they might just make the best backdrop for some lilac bush portraits.
