DETAILS OF
IDAHO MOUNTAIN FIRST LOOK.
This is Chasen and Makena, but I know Makena as Max. She went to the neighboring high school, and so our paths crossed quite a few times because of basketball. Never would I have guessed that later down the road, I would be the one photographing her first look and her wedding. She reached out to me a while ago about potentially doing her wedding photos, but it wasn’t until 4 weeks before their wedding that they decided to do it. I ended up having the dates open for their formals and wedding, and I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID!
Even though I am from Southeast Idaho, I really don’t know a ton of spots for photos. It’s not like Utah, but it is still pretty! When we talked about a location for their first look, Max told me that she had a spot picked out. Honestly, when a client chooses a location, it can be hit or miss. Most people don’t really know what to look for to make sure the spots have optimal lighting. BUT, when we showed up to the spots that Chasen and Makena had picked out for their Idaho Mountain first look, they were UNREAL.
Chasen ended up having a problem with his suit, so we got out the door later than we planned. Originally, we were planning to do both this spot and the temple in one night, but when we arrived, I proposed that we just do all of the photos in the mountains and just do photos at the temple on their wedding day. We all agreed that was the best decision, and wow it really was the best decision. This meant that we got to be there all the way until the sun set, and it was so pretty. We hit 3 different spots throughout the night, and they all were so beautiful and different. We hit all different kinds of light and wind, and we got SO MANY pretty photos.
