DETAILS OF
HORSESHOE BEND FORMAL SESSION.
Saryn and I go wayyyyy back. Actually, we really only go back a few years, but we have been through a lot together! Saryn and I lived on the same block in college, then were roommates for a year. We lived together in a house and then lived in the basement of my Aunt’s home. She was the only roommate that I had when I met and dated Kellon. She was by my side through some of the most difficult times in my life, and I love her to death. Towards the last little bit of us rooming together, she decided to move to Mexico and teach school there. After living there for a bit, she moved to Gilbert, Arizona. Anytime she visited Provo, we would see each other and catch up. This past summer, she asked if she could stop in for a few minutes. She walked into my apartment and said, “I am getting married!!” hahaha and then had to hurry out the door. I didn’t even know she was dating anyone!!! It was such a surprise to me!! I loved getting to take their wedding photos and getting to know Justin!
Justin and Saryn wanted to do their formals at Horseshoe Bend and then also a slot canyon. Kellon and I drove to Page early enough to scout everything out, and all of the slot canyons that we had planned had very strict regulations. Kellon and I had gone to Lake Powell back in August and saw a slot canyon. We decided to go see if we could find it again, and we did!!! It was perfect and not on the reservation, so it didn’t have the same restrictions. We all hiked down into the slot canyon, picked the spot, and then they changed into their wedding clothes to do their first look. The slot canyon WAS SO COOL, and I want to go back and hike the entire thing.
When we were done with the slot canyon, we grabbed some food, and then went to Horseshoe Bend. HORSESHOE BEND IS INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL!!! The view is incredible! Choosing to do their formal session at Horseshoe Bend was such a great idea, and so worth it, too! The sun setting behind them was so pretty, and everyone there was super nice, too, to let us get the shots that we needed to.
