FALL MOUNTAIN FIRST LOOK – PAYSON, UTAH.

Some of my earliest memories are actually with Katie’s family before she was born. Her parents and my parents are friends, and Katie’s family moved out of my hometown while her mom was pregnant with her. I remember going over to play with her siblings before they moved, and our families have stayed in touch ever since. In fact, we even met up with them in Oregon when I was like 3 or 4, and we have home videos of us playing together. I don’t think Katie remembers any of that, but I couldn’t believe it when she emailed me and asked if I could do her wedding. I was pumped out of my mind!!!

They actually got married in December, but they had both his suit and her wedding dress all ready to go, so I asked if they wanted to go to their first look in the fall colors instead of waiting and just having snow. They both agreed that if they could, they wanted to do the fall colors. I headed up to the mountain and found this one patch of fall colors, and it was perfect for their first look. It also wasn’t too cold, which is so much better than being FREEZING for your formals. By the time we were done shooting, there were quite a few people up there also doing photoshoots, so it really was the last little patch of fall colors!! Payson Canyon actually has the most beautiful fall colors every year.

Doesn’t his maroon suit complement the yellow leaves PERFECTLY? I love when my grooms have unique suit colors because it sure adds such a fun pop of color. I am also in love with Katie’s sleeves. I felt like this location fit their vibe just perfectly, and her flowers?? I am obsessed with them.
