DEAD HORSE POINT ANNIVERSARY – MOAB, UTAH
Barry and Deborah are two of the coolest people I know. I got an inquiry one evening from Barry that said, “We are celebrating our one year anniversary [next week]. We have not confirmed an itinerary and to be honest, I had booked flights to Jackson Hole and she does not think she wants to do that, so I am scrambling. She was trying to find me the setting and came across your photos and she fell in love with your work, so now we are thinking about how to pull off a Utah experience. It will be very different, but you might be the key! I can text you the pictures that she liked and we can discuss, once you review this. Time is of the essence, unfortunately because she came to this conclusion LAST NIGHT.”
We talked on the phone the next day, and Barry and Deborah changed their entire anniversary plans to meet me at Dead Horse Point for a photoshoot. I gave them some suggestions of things to do while they were in Moab, and Barry put together the COOLEST itinerary for them. They did everything from riding horses to going up in a hot air balloon. Our time together at the shoot was so fun, and Barry just kept saying “Whatever makes Deborah happy!”
Dead Horse Point gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME! It’s so so beautiful! I actually got to Dead Horse Point a few hours early to go explore and find new spots to shoot. I had seen a spot in photos on Pinterest, and I really wanted to find it! I mean, that’s how I find my spots! I see a lot of people asking about specific places at Dead Horse, and it truly isn’t that big, so it’s fairly easy to find the spots you want to shoot. If it’s your first time at Dead Horse for a shoot, I definitely recommend going early and exploring!!
