DETAILS OF
BROOKINGS OREGON ELOPEMENT.

Ever since I first saw photos of Brookings, Oregon, it has been super high on my bucket list of places I wanted to travel to. When Kate and Stu reached out about their elopement, they had a completely blank slate. We threw out all different ideas of places to elope, and ultimately, they decided on Brookings, Oregon and the Redwoods for their elopement. They eloped on their 10th anniversary, which was in November. We talked quite a bit about how the weather could be pretty rainy during that time, so we had quite a few different game plans. Plan A was to have their elopement in the Redwoods and then head to Brookings and finish the evening off there.

Funny enough, Kate and Stu were randomly on the same flight as I was coming into Medford! So we got to officially meet at the airport in Salt Lake. We all talked about the weather looking like it was going to rain on their big day, but we also agreed that we would just keep an eye on it. The following day, I scouted out all of the coast line in Brookings, and they scouted out the ceremony location and the Redwoods. We chatted that evening about how it was looking like their elopement day was going to be raining all day long. We made the call to do a first look/formal session the night before in Brookings and then only shoot in the Redwoods on their elopement day.

Their first look session was so perfect. The sun was out, and the weather was amazing. We had most of the beach to ourselves, and the tide also lined up perfectly for us to get inside the tunnel. Isn’t that tunnel so cool? I sure hope this is not my last time in Brookings because I am such a big fan.
